Shipping Policy

Your chosen Alter piece will be on the bench being hand made within 24 hours of ordering, despite that, the process of having the ring hallmarked at our chosen assay office delays shipment. Thats why there is at least a 14 day lead time from order to delivery.

Returns, Refunds & Cancelations

 Alter purchases are non-refundable, unless a fault occurs within 30 days of 
purchase. We only offer exchanges, repairs or replacements after the item has been assessed.

Please note exchanges or returns are not offered if you simply change your mind.

If you wish to cancel an order please contact jake@alterjewellery.com and provide your order number and reason for cancelling. Please notify us within 24hours if you wish to cancel any orders. Once the order has been cancelled you will be refunded.

Sizing

We use uk ring sizes for all orders and can make each design in most sizes. If your size doesn't show in the drop down box when ordering, please get in contact as we will likely be able to make it in your given size. If you are unsure of your ring size, we supply a reusable and adjustable ring sizer that you can purchase from the 'shop' section of our website.

Wear & Tear 

Your hand made piece will have unique textures and patinas that will likely change over time. Expect high polished parts of the ring to potentially scratch and the rougher brushed parts of the ring to smoothen out.

 

Patina finishes such as black oxidisation are not completely permanent and may start to fade in areas over time. This will become part of the character of the piece so enjoy it, however if you become dissatisfied with the look of your piece after some heavy wear and tear, do not hesitate to get in touch and we can clean and polish it back to its original state for a small fee.
